Our Houses

A setting conducive to developing positive self-esteem & wellbeing

Independence

Supporting Service users in the development of independent living skills has been central to the ethos of this organisation since it was established over 30 years ago. Independent living skills are more than just the ability to cook, clean, select appropriate clothing for weather conditions or to travel safely in the community.

Operations Manager

They were open in their dialogue and they stepped up to find out what they could do. They are not like other providers. I find them really brilliant.

Quote from External Professional in 5 Priory Drive’s CQC inspection report January 2016.

Your Own Space

Many people who come to live in the Community have a long history of institutional care and are often not used to personal space. Privacy is respected by all members of the Community. Everyone has their own room, some with en-suite facilities, and are encouraged and supported in personalising it to make it their own. Self- expression is a part of who you are.

All residents have a key to their own bedroom and access to keys to the main house. All locks have an override system for use in emergency situations or in agreement with Care Plans. Staff only enter a resident’s bedroom at their invitation or as agreed within the service Care Plan.

All houses have a registered manager with overall responsibility to ensure that you are well supported.
