Conflict Resolution
A course providing the basis for working with individuals with challenging behaviour.
Course Introduction
Violence is often linked to insecurity. When your staff are aware of potential triggers, are skilled in de-escalation, and, should an incident occur, know that it can be contained safely and with minimum distress to all concerned, it brings about a confidence, which itself minimises risk.
This is a theory based course incorporating group work and discussion and is the basis for working with individuals with challenging behaviour.
This Community has worked, for more than 30 years, to support service users with a range of mental disorders and complex support needs. We have established a superb professional course to General Services Association standards in Conflict Resolution, Breakaway and Physical Interventions.
Course Objectives
- Recognising possible risks or potential incidents of aggression / violence.
- Identifying ways in which everyone can be safer in the work environment.
- Promoting Positive Behaviour Support.
